BCK provided full architectural services, interior design, landscape architecture, and engineering services at the Army Aviation Support Facility.  The Army National Guard Bureau required additional office space, maintenance space, storage, and taxi-way space at the undersized and outdated facility. The design requirements included a 40,000 SF maintenance hangar for Chinook helicopters, a 20,000 SF storage hangar for Chinook helicopters, a 10,000 SF storage hangar for Blackhawk helicopters, a 6,000 SF office addition, and a 6,000 SF two story support building.  Portions of the existing AASF were renovated as well as the entire airside taxi-way and landside parking area.  Design consideration was also required for a registered wetland which had to be utilized for site drainage.
